Summary
The Living Well West Midlands Portfolio of 29 health projects, funded by the BIG Lottery and supported by the West Midlands Regional Assembly's Regional Strategic Partnership for Health is holding its first annual conference for Regional Leaders and practitioners.
Guest speakers include Steve Williams, Team GB Olympic Gold medallist in Beijing, Dr Rashmi Shukla CBE, Regional Director of Public Health – Medical Director from Department of Health West Midlands, Nic Marks from the New Economic Foundation and Vincent Mayne, Chair of the 2012 Health Activity Legacy Group.
There will be presentations from a number of the regional projects and workshops on Food & Nutrition, Physical Activity, Mental Health, Mentoring & Evaluation and Age Concern.
Regional leaders across the statutory, business, voluntary and community sectors are being invited to contribute their views on the key strands of healthy eating, physical activity and mental well-being and suggest priorities which can be taken forward over the next 12 months.
